Hi, managers,

yesterday I asked the following question:
>Hi, managers,

>in the near future we will have a new file server and that's why I am
reading the V5 release notes now. I found there the >sentence:
>File domains created using TRU64 UNIX Version 5.0 are not recognizable by
earlier versions of Tru64 UNIX and may not >be used by them in any way.

>Question: does "in any way" include NFS-mounts? Will it not be possible to
export a 5.0 fileset and mount it via nfs on a >alpha running V4.x?

I really couldn' t imagine that this is true, and in a very short time I
got a lot of answers telling me that indeed nfs is not meant, because it is
an independent file system which hides much of the underlying file system.
I just wasn't sure because of the fact that the new AdvFS will allow 65535
subdirectories and / or links as a maximum - though I can really not
imagine that anyone of my users could use that new feature.
