User's on our 2-member Alpha cluster running Tru64 Unix 4.0F (patch 3) and
ASE 1.6 suddenly started complaining that they could not connect to the
shares served by ASDU 4.0 after they changed their network passwords. I
determined that the netlogon service was not running on the member running
the ASDU service and, trying to restart the netlogon service produced this
message:
root>net start netlogon
The NETLOGON service is starting.
The NETLOGON service could not be started.
An internal consistency error has occurred.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3057.
The event log showed this event after trying to start netlogon:
Event ID: 5701
The Netlogon service failed to update the domain trust list.
The following error occurred:
Not enough storage is available to process this command.
I then checked the disk space for /usr/net and, sure enough, we had maxed
out the file system. Unfortunately, after having freed up some space, I
still am unable to start the netlogon service. Does anybody know what I
might try next to solve this problem.
Thanks for any help.
