Hello Managers,
I have recently been asked to supply a warning screen which asks for a yes/no confirmation as to whether you have understood the security message.
Ideally,I want the warning displayed prior to logon, ie, /etc/issue, and then the confirmation question to appear after that. (is there any way to run another script from within /etc/issue, or is it purely a "cat" of the files contents?) Also, I require
that this message is not displayed when issuing su -, which rules out any /etc/profile entry I think.
I have experimented with changing session variable on log in, so as to display the question only once, but this method still fails an su -.
I've also tried replacing login with a script which does the necessary with the warning and question, and then calls the proper login, but this fails with application logging in.
Any ideas.
I am using 4.0d.PK3.
Cheers
Neil
