Is anyone running Oracle 8.1.7 Multi-threaded server on Tru64 5.1?
We initially had problems getting the database kernel to compile, but Oracle
give us some new kernel settings to help get us going.
Then we got this error trying to do data imports:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27124: unable to detach from shared memory segment
Compaq Tru64 UNIX Error: 22: Invalid argument
The Oracle suggested work-around for us was setting ssm_threshold to 0.
Also, we are currently having problems with Pro*COBOL programs that perform
a 'call "system" using' routine. The programs lock up. It might be a 5.1
issue since the programs work fine under 4.0e.
If anyone has any useful or helpful info or similar experiences, please let
me know.
