Hello:

Thanks to Dr. Blinn, Mike Iglesias, Pat O'Brien, Bumpus Robert, and Allen
Carpenter for information.

We don't have the file /usr/lib/cron/cron.allow. File
/usr/lib/cron/cron.deny does exist, but there is nothing but comments,
without any account id.

Dr Blinn asks:
(Q) What is the protection on the file in the /var/spool/cron/crontabs
directory that SHOULD be your personal crontab?
(A) Since this is my first cron entry, there is no cron file for me.

(Q) Are you listed in any of the cront control files that might prevent
you being allowed to create a crontab file?
(A) No. cron.allow does not exist. No account id is defined within
cron.deny.

(Q)Is the crontab program setuid root?
(A) No. Here is its protection settings:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin /usr/bin/crontab

Operating system version:Digital UNIX V4.0D.

Thanks in advance.
