Hello all,
I have a MVS system ( I know nothing about MVS ;-) that fails to mount NFS
exports from our TruCluster system (V5.1 pk#2). It also fails mounting from
a regular Tru64 NFS server running V5.0a. It will work using all other Unix
variants that we know about (HP, Solaris, AIX) for the NFS server.
The MVS NFS client software is something called;
USS running under OS/390
When the mount is attempted on the MVS side the following error is logged;
BPXF028I FILE SYSTEM NFSTEST WAS NOT MOUNTED. RETURN CODE =
0000006F, REASON CODE = 6E2202DB
Sounds like a mainframe. Apparently the return code of "6F" means
"permissions problem" and the mount fails. I think that maybe mountd on the
Tru64 server rejects the mount command, but no entries are made in the
syslog. I have mound running with the "-in" switches (so that non-root
requests will work for PC's).
Anyone seen this before and can shed a little light on the subject?
TIA.
