Dr. Blinn CC'd the list and says the CC bounced. So here's his response.
Thanks again, all.

TruCluster V5.1 uses the underlying AdvFS support in Tru64 UNIX V5.1.
Tru64 UNIX V5.1 provides read and write access to V4.x created AdvFS
file systems, although for performance and reliability reasons, you
would be well advised to consider migrating the file systems to the
new format at some point when you are convinced you'll never want to
go back to V4.x (since Digital UNIX V4.x aka Tru64 UNIX V4.x can NOT
read a V5.x formatted AdvFS file system).
Of course, if you install and then create a new TruCluster, when you
create the first TruCluster node, the file systems are created from
scratch, so your cluster root, /usr, and /var will all be in the new
V5.x on-disk format.
