Migration Path FC-AL

Hello, I have a Digital Storage Works RAID Array 7000 Ultra SCSI
DS-SWXRA-HC.

I have read in their features:

    " Digital StorageWorks provides a bridge to Fibre Channel with a
planned migration path from StorageWorks UltraSCSI solutions. Simply
swap your controller borard and your UltraSCSI RAID Array is Fibre
Channel- ready!".

I don´t understand this. What it is?. How it do?.
