Thanx to Paul Sands and Regine Polnick for pointing what should
have been obvious to me i if had really read the man page:
ipcs -p gives me
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP LSPID LRPID
q 0 0x41001a74 --rw------- root system 3 487
q 1 0x16a93 --rw-rw-rw- root system 551 588
q 258 0x1e530 --rw-rw-rw- root daemon 689 12599
q 3 0x801 --rw-rw-rw- root daemon 654 0

Its the LSPID number that ties the Q id with a process. So ps -
e|grep 551 shows me the process to Qid relationship I was after.

Hi Managers,
Is there some way to identify the running process with the Q ID or
Key? Our database has crashed several times due to its removal
from the Q and I am trying to determine what else is in the Q, or
indeed what "interprocess communication" is.

OUTPUT from IPCS:
Message Queues:
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP
q 0 0x41001a74 --rw------- root system
q 1 0x16a93 --rw-rw-rw- root system
q 258 0x1e530 --rw-rw-rw- root daemon
q 3 0x801 --rw-rw-rw- root daemon

Shared Memory:
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP
m 0 0x3253bc5c --rw-rw-rw- root system
m 1 0x280267 --rw-r--r-- root system

Semaphores:
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP
s 0 0x41001a74 --ra------- root system
s 1 0x280269 --ra-ra-ra- root system
