can't open osf-boot: (fwd)

The consensus on this question is that the disklabel command
on the new disk was not run correctly. Several people
say this is the problem of trying to read an ADVFS partition
that has a ufs default boot block.

You have to use disklabel -t advfs -rw [blah blah]....

I was pretty sure I did that but I guess I will try it again just
to be sure. Unfortunately, I can't try it until the next down time
in 2 or 3 weeks, will summarize further at that time.

Subject: can't open osf-boot:

I am having the following problem:

1) System disk was dka300. Boots fine, system is up on that
at the moment. Root AdvFS domain is "alt_rootdmn" mounted on /

In single-user mode:
2) On disk rz2, made an equivalent set of partitions,
Did mkfdmn -r /dev/rz2a root_domain
mkfset root_domain root
mount root_domain#root /mnt/newroot
/sbin/vdump 0f - / | (cd /mnt/newroot; /sbin/vrestore xf -)

Then cd /mnt/newroot/etc
and edit fstab to have the new root_domain#root mounted on /

Then shutdown -h and try to boot off of the new disk.

results are below.

Why can't it open osf_boot? This trick of copying the partition
has worked for me before.
