We have a mirrored root disk, set up in lsm via encapsulation.
These mirrored partitions were then set up as an ADVFS file
domains:
root_domain#root 196608 123006 66584 65% /
/proc 0 0 0 100% /proc
usr_domain#usr 1536000 886680 609176 60% /usr
var_domain#var 512000 253687 251104 51% /var
local_domain#usr_lcl 1683288 360900 1301280 22%
/usr/local
Half the mirror failed (tru64 v4.0f, gs140), and I want to
replace it. I think I have the lsm commands down to do this, but am not
sure if this will be do-able within ADVFS, i.e. can I take system
to single user, issue following commands:
volplex -g rootdg -o rm -v dis rootvol-01 swapvol-01 ... vol-rz0h-01
voldg -g rootdg rm rz0a rz0f ... rz0d
voldisk rm rz0d
voldisk rm rz0b
:
voldisk rm rz0a
volrootmir -a rz29 (spare disk in enclosure)
reboot, and have ADVFS transparently cope with this? ADVFS domains are
all LSM volumes:
www0# showfdmn root_domain usr_domain var_domain local_domain
:
1L 393216 133168 66% on 128 128 /dev/vol/rootdg/rootvol
1L 3072000 1218352 60% on 128 128 /dev/vol/rootdg/vol-rz0g
1L 1024000 502208 51% on 128 128 /dev/vol/rootdg/vol-rz0f
1L 3366576 2602560 23% on 128 128 /dev/vol/rootdg/vol-rz0h
What do you think??
TIA...
