Ok...I've received a few responses already, and so far there are no duplicates, so I don't know what to believe. But for now the most interesting was from Steve Tom who had the same problem on their 4.0f box. Compaq instructed them to type in "crash" at the machine prompt (>>>), which will force the system to write the crash/coredump files. They tried it and it worked for them, so next time it crashes I will try it too. I will post a FULL summary if I get any other compelling responses. Bye for now...
