Original question :
.forward works well in Tru64 UNIX V4.0x, I cannot make it work in Tru64 UNIX
V5.x.
Is there a trick that I am not aware of ?

Thank you to Olle Eriksson and Philippe Fasquelle (they have been very quick
!)
Man says : Incorrect file permissions/ownership are quietly ignored.
It was true in Tru64 UNIX V4.0x it is not in V5.x
Home directory and .forward protection and ownership are important:
1 - $HOME must have drwxr-x-r-x (otherwise there are messages in
/var/adm/syslog.dated/mail.log "World writable directory" or "Group writable
directory"
2 - $HOME/.forward must have -rw-r--r-- rights and be owned by the user or
root.
