Hello everybody,

after switching our NIS-Server from a DU-4.0B System (AS250) to a Tru64-5.0a
System, we got the following problem:

all systems supported by portmapper work fine, all NIS-Maps are exported. When
trying to change the password via yppasswd (even when calling this program on
the new Master-Server), one has to wait about some seconds (after having typed
old and new password), then getting a

RPC: timed out

Your password may or may not have been changed

The password indeed has been changed, but the auth.log says

date hostname yppasswdd[139724]: yppasswdd: no change for blabla

Does anybody know the reason for this and --- best --- also have a solution??
It would be very great.

Thanx
Armin
