supplemantary: User Processes

I almost forgot...if I do decide to change the sysconfig tab to increase the max_proc_per_user, is there a way to do this without having to reboot the box? Also, is there any reason why I wouldn't want to increase this number too high? What number might be good? 150? 500? Thanks again
