This swap went off without a hitch. All the cpus/memoryboards/HBA's
and NIC cards were brought over from the source 4100 and put into the
new 4100. Since it was all completely SCSI there were no "wwidmgr"
problems. All I did was make sure that my SCSI ID's were the same and
that my "show dev" at the POO>>> prompt matched up with the older
system. Then I did a "b -fl s -fi genvmunix" and rebuilt the kernel.
The only device that changed device special file names on me was the
cd-rom. A quick "sum /vmunix /vmunix.old" showed a very slight change
in the kernel as well. Thanks to everyone who tried to help with
suggestions especially the ones with the confident "I bet it will
work" messages,
Thanks to -
