I've been trying to do some kernel tuning as of lately on Tru64 v5.1 that's
running on a UP2000. The machine is typically used for large hspice runs
(data segment sizes >256MB). The machine has 2GB of ram and is running dual
833MHz processors. Typically only 1 hspice job is running at a time on it.
I'm still investigating if hspice is able to fork across multiple CPUs.
my question is if anyone knows of any kernel tuning parameters that will
help large jobs (high CPU load / large memory usage) run more efficiently on
ev67/68 processors than the default ones. I'm not concerned about the affect
on smaller programs as all this machine does is run large hspice jobs.
I will summerize.
Thanks,
