Does anyone know of any small programs (PERL preferrably), that will do an
internal
port scan to see if any respond. I would think this would be a quick method
to check
for any programs listening. Would it be something as simple as looping in
PERL then
using the trying to open a socket on the current port of the loop? I'm not
looking to
install any major breakin detection software at this point. I would rather
start simple,
and add in more complex checks as the needs arise.
Thanks
George
