Ooops!...real urgent request for anyone who can help...
Our cluster has a shared tape service called /backup...we recently had a
problem with the silo using it which has been fixed but now we have
major probs.
Cannot offline or relocate the service without it going into an
unnassigned state.....I manually umounted the fileset and was able to
online the service but we can't get the silo to mount/unmount tapes or
do any I/O.
I have tried using networker and the robot utility and nothing works.
mt -f /dev/rmt0h status/rewind access the drive fine...but as soon as
you try to do any I/O it bombs out.
Is this an ASE failure due to SCSI path failure and what might be
causing the SCSI error.
