I have an AS 4100 5/600 that has begun panicking and rebooting. It first
happened on Sunday morning, with a second panic 10 minutes after the first
reboot. It happened again on Monday evening, when it rebooted multiple
times over the course of approximately 50 minutes, not staying up for more
than 10 minutes between reboots. It finally stayed running, and ran
throughout the night and all day, without fail, with the normal user load
consisting of some 300 - 500 concurrent users. Review of the DECEvent logs
show the same/similar errors trapped each time. Relevant entries are in the
attached text file.

The configuration is as follows:
Tru64 Unix version 4.0E
3 GB Memory
4- 5/600 8MB CPU
1- BA356 shelf containing (2) swap disks and (2)OS disks (LSM Mirror)
1- RaidArray 7000, fully populated with 9 & 18 GB, 7200 & 10K RPM drives

RA contains multiple filesystems for HOME directories, application
executables, and databases.
All filesystems are ADVFS.

The panic is occuring on either CPU 3 or CPU 0 and indicates a System
Uncorrectable Machine Check
Machine Check Reason x0202 IOD-Detected Hard Error -OR-
DTag Parity Error (If Cached CPU)

If been unable to conclude if the error is coming from a CPU fault, memory
fault? Or is it something else?

Any assistance in interperting the DIA output is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
