Hi all,

I have an AlphaServer 2000 that is in need of more hard drive space. I have
installed some 18GB Seagate drives (ST118273W) in some old 4GB drive
carriers (Yes, I know I have voided the warranty). I would like to replace
one of those drives with a 180GB Seagate drive (ST1181677LWV). I know I
won't get the full speed of the new drive, but I just need to know if it
will work before we actually buy it. It would connect to the internal shelf
of the server. Has anyone else done something like this yet? I currently
being bounced around the different Compaq departments trying to get an
answer, so I thought I'd check with you guys also.

Thanks, and I'll summarize...
