Hello...
Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I recently changed a UFS vol to ADVFS.
It's a C partition (the whole drive) on an 18 gb SBB. After vdumping the
data back into the drive (after the ADVFS conversion) I ran defragment on
the domain. It sits at pass 1 for about 25 minutes before going on to the
'filling' stage. At this rate, (with three passes) this will take much
longer than I'd like. Is this speed of defragment normal? The drive is
currently 35% full (12307284 blocks used out of a possible 35565072 on
disk). Will the defragment time get better (faster) as I defragment more
often? Any suggestions on speeding things up? Help!
By the way, it ended up taking approximately 1 hour to complete. Here is the
