Dear all,
thank you very much for your quick answers.
The original question is at the bottom.
The more complete answer from Tom Blinn:

Robert Otterson (thank you too) said that it works (but he didn't
specify the OS version, like me).
I'll try, and I'll report to the list, but in the meanwhile, I got a
different solution. You can do that if you have a linux host:
go to
http://packages.debian.org/testing/net/mopd.html, download
mopd_2.4.5.orig.tar.gz and mopd_2.5.4-5.diff.gz, unpack them on your
linux host (I'm using a Red Hat linux, but it works anyway), apply the
patch (patch -p0 < mopd_2.5.4-5.diff), configure, make and install the
mopd. Create the directory /tftpboot/mop, put there your
[name in uppercase].SYS files and finally start the mopd.
It works, at least with DECServer 200 and DECServer 300.
It is probably - if possible - less supported than the "only MOP"
solution, but I think that if you want a "full supported solution" you'll
have to a complete DECnet/OSI installation.
Bye.
