Hello...

  My original posting was about using openssh's sftp server on a tru64 5.1 box. When using sftp from a
client, the output of things like 'ls' would loop on any filesystem that was nfs mounted on the server.

  Many many thanks to Dale Tronrud - he had the same situation and called Compaq for help with it. Bottom line
is it is something wrong with nfs and 5.1 (it works fine on 5.0a). The problem goes away if you mount things
with nfsv2 option. Compaq has 'escalated' it to get a fix going.
