100 Mb network probs

I've got a network card in my alpha that has a 100Mb link light and is
showing the same 100Mb link light on the switch it's connected to.

However I cannot seem to get it running at 100Mb at the o/s level

I've tried the following :-

Made sure that 'ewa0_mode=fastfd'

Have the following in /etc/rc.config :-

IFCONFIG_1="10.2.xx.xx netmask 255.255.252.0 speed 200"

>From the command line :-

Ifconfig tu1 speed 200 down
Ifconfig tu1 up

And finally trying to change the card to 100Mb from SYSMAN.

All to no avail.

Has anyone any ideas to pit me out of my misery !!!

Ifconfig -a currently shows :-

tu1: flags=c63<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST,SIMPLEX>
     inet 10.2.xx.xx netmask fffffc00 broadcast 10.2.67.255 ipmtu 1500

Regards,
Mike.
