NTP and external source

Hello

We have an external time source which is being connected to the serial
port on the Tru64 Unix 4.0F box. This external time source is a small
intrument which syncronises with the world clock.

Has anybody configured NTP getting the time from an external time source
through the serial port?

Suggestions???
