We have a four node cluster running Tru64 5.1. Earlier, two cluster aliases were
added as shown:
# cluamgr -a alias=p02ap01,join
# cluamgr -a alias=p02db01,join
IP addresses for the aliases were defined in /etc/hosts and in DNS.
Now, we want to remove the two aliases from the cluster and define the aliases
on a separate machine. However, I am unable to determine how to delete the alias
definitions from the cluster.
The command 'cluamgr -a alias=<alias>,leave' causes the alias to leave the
cluster but does not remove the alias definition. The aliases still appear in
'cluamgr -s all' and the cluster still accepts connection requests for the
aliases.
Is there a way that the cluster alias definitions can be removed without a
reboot?
