A little more information. I have searched the archives and lots have
people have asked the question and gotten the same answer that I got. But
no one mentions that they are on a cluster. When I try to make the changes
on either of my TruCluster 1.6 clusters I get "Error during write of entry
named " *:*"" Any ideas where I can look for more info about this? Is
there a log file anywhere that explains the error?

Good morning everyone. I have a bit of a weird one on my hands. I have 6
GS140 boxes running Tru64 4.0F with the latest Patch kits that we have
upgraded to C2 Security. Two of the boxes are stand alone machines, and the
other 4 are both two node clusters. After the upgrade, the users are unable
to connect to the boxes with Exceed on their NT boxes using XDMCP logins.
Compaq gave me a fix of making a change to /etc/auth/system/ttys.db and
/etc/auth/system/devassign to allow X logins from any terminal. The syntax
I was given was
echo \ '*\:*:t_devname=*\:*:t_login_timeout#0:t_xdisplay:chkent:' \ |
/tcb/bin/edauth -s -dt
echo '*\:*:v_type=xdisplay:chkent:' | /tcb/bin/edauth -s -dv
This worked fine on the stand alone boxes, but not the cluster members. I
haven't contacted Compaq again, because the mailing list is much faster. If
anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.
