Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached

Hi managers,

we have the need to open a huge number of xclients on our ES40 running Tru64
Version 4.0F.
After opening a huge number of x-clients (127) we get this error message:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached

Well i thought, there must be an option to increase the maximun client
number in the Xserver.
Is there a patch from compaq or a option to Xdec or to unlimit the number of
open files or something?
