Re-use of a BA350 cabinet on PCs ?

Dear admins,

we have installed a newer Alpha machine in our computer centre
and now will remove an old Digital 3000 / 500 machine.
That one has connected a BA350 - KA B02 cabinet with several disks
(4* RZ28, 1* Seagate 3914..) and a TLZ06 DAT drive.

This cabinet and all its contents will not be used by the company
any longer, so I would like to donate it to a school running (mostly)
Linux on "standard" PCs, already using SCSI equipment.
(An external SCSI cabinet would offer disk backup possibilities
which can be switched off for complete protection; dual booting etc.)

Do you know any reason why this might be a problem,
or do you have any other experience connecting a BA350 to a non-Alpha
machine?

Regards and TIA,
Joerg Bruehe
