Update: Cluster <--> RAID configuration?

Hello Managers !

I got one answer from Udo de Boer who states that my plans (see below)
are OK. I've also heard from the german StorageWorks publications chief
of staff that the 8 hosts limitation may be lifted some day in the near
future (some month?) and perhaps can already be ignored (without
having any warranty then...). But we will not be the ones who try that
first... :-) I also found out that zoning is an absolute must to separate
the 2 OS from each other for the Tru64 - Solaris case.

As some people have asked me for a detailed summary, I will report our
configuration as a short guideline when we've got it (hopefully) working
next week.

This is possible and you don't have to do anything special on the cluster. The
cluster is smart enough to see all attached file systems and share them. See the
local attached disks remarks in the manuals. But I would check with Compaq if
there are newer software version or patches to the HSG80 software to allow all 8
es40's to access the disks. There are more versions of the software. Maybe a
newer driver on the SUNs will help.
