Problem with Cisco 3500 switches

I have some xp-1000 Workstation with Tru64 4.0F connected in LAN.
Some days ago i changed the 3-Com 3300 switch with a new Cisco 3500, but now
i have problem with the lan that is very slow.
The handshake is 100Mbit Half-Duplex; often i see the green light of the
xp-1000 connected ports that blink red: i tried to force the switch to
connect at 10Mbit - HalfDuplex but without results.
Can anyone help me?
