Thanks to Tim Brown, Robert Sandford and Andreas Maagdenberg for their quick
responses!
The concensus is to verify the hardware first (with mc_diag and mc_cable)
then to set up the SAN and after all that is done, to rebuild the Tru64
kernel and finally install TruCluster and set up the cluster nodes.
check the console rev - if not correct, update it
run mc_diag on each node
run mc_cable on each node simultaneously
set up the SAN - so you can see the storage disks
rebuild the Tru64 kernel (on the storage disk)
install TruCluster
set up the cluster using CLU_CREATE
