Networker's Index Files

Hey Gurus:


Does anybody have good tips on maintaining client and server index files
from Networker v6.02 on Tru64 Unix v4.0F?

Reason:
My client and server index files are getting too big(13Gigs total for
one client and server) and I would like to find out a way to either
compress them or truncate them if possible without affecting the
networker clients.
