We have a GS140 running Tru64Unix 4.0f.
Due to performance problems, a "network specialist"
was called in to analyze the network.
After analysis it was determined that the GS140 was
retransmitting TCP packets at 323 millisecond
intervals.
The kernel parameters are set as follows:
tcp_rexmit_interval_min 2
tcp_rexmit_max 128
How can it be possible that the Alpha is
retransmitting packets at 323 ms when the minimum rate
is set to "2" (which I believe is 1 second)..?
Thanks--
