Dear all,

with the invaluable help of Bill Melvin and John Polstra I now have a
working CVSup 16d1 for Tru64 4.0x.

Fundamentally you need:

http://www.research.compaq.com/SRC/modula-3/html/srcm3.html

then you have to install the following patches:

http://www.research.compaq.com/SRC/modula-3/html/patches36.html#randomReal64
http://www.research.compaq.com/SRC/modula-3/html/patches36.html#dragonInt

to get a working compiler (you might also want to install the patch
regarding versions and the Alpha assmbler if you want neat error
messages).

Once that's done you can fetch the actual CVSup update from

http://people.freebsd.org/~jdp/s1g/cvsup-snap-16.1e.tar.gz

and build it with your new Modula-3 compiler.

I am willing to provide limited access to a binary package but will
offer John the chance to put it on the main page on freebsd.org as I
don't have the bandwidth for it.
