tuning for 5.1 + FORTRAN ?

Hi,

I have a user with an XP1000 with 1GB RAM and 3GB SWAP. He's doing a lot
of high performance fortran caculations, but many of his programs SIGSEGV
at runtime. Are there any recommendations on kernel tuning for running
large fortran programs? I've tuned the kenrel for high IP load, but need
to tune it for high RAM usage. Any guidlines, tips, on what parameters to
increase?

Thanks

Paul
