Hi,
I will be using the addvol rmvol utility for the first
time. i have 3 raid5 arrays (177gb 88gb 88gb
respectively) that make a single dmn, that I will need
to manipulate.
Required results:
end up with 2 177gb raid5 arrays (2 vols in dmn on
hsz70)
Plan:
1. add a raid5 array on the hsz70 side open slot.
(Get device name for it)
2. use addvol to add the vol to the existing domain
(current has 3 vols, this will make four)
3. run balance
4. rmvol for one of the two 88gb drives, then the
next.
End up with 2 vols domain.

Questions:
1. From experience, how much time (average) will it
take for the balance command to complete, taking into
consideration the dmn has a single FS and is 98% full?
2. Same as 1, but for commands addvol, and rmvol.

Systems hooked up to 4100's, 4.0g 2gb ram 4-EV5.6
processors 467Mhz

Any thing I might be overlooking?
_Thanks in advance once again....

Richard
