SUMMARY: unable to reach a cluster 5.1 with a down member ...

I will never stop loving this mailing-list!!

The problem dispappeared AUTOMAGICALLY since, as correctely stated by

        Emanuele De Fazio <emanuele.defazio_at_semagroup.it>

the router had associated the cluster alias name with the MAC address of
the member which later was shutted down. So, soon after the member
shutdown, any connection using the router itself (all those coming out
from the cluster network) resulted in error.
This behavour last until the router automatically updated its routing
tables, after that moment the alias cluster was again reachable from all
over the world.

Thanks again to the mailing list and, of course!, to Emanuele De Fazio
(ciao e grazie)

Emanuele
