v5.0a is not necessarily 5.0a?

The upgrade-to-5.1 saga continues. Not having 5.0a cd onsite,
I borrowed one from my Compaq rep. It is white, diff from
typical dist. cd, dated December 1999, says "Tru64 UNIX V5.0A".

I updated to this version, and output from "sizer -v" says:

Compaq Tru64 UNIX T5.0A-2 (Rev. 77.23); Mon Oct 1 15:05:50 EST 2001

When I tried to begin updating to v5.1, it says you can only
update from 4.0G or 5.0A!!!!

        * Any way I can trick it into thinking this is 5.0A?
        * Is this T5.0A-2 some strange version?

TIA...
