4.0F/G -> 5.0a

Original Question:

        Is the upgrade from 4.0F -> 5.0a (on the way to 5.1,
        without C2) supported?

Thanks to everyone that responded.

Answers ranged from "no problems" to "No!!!!!"
with most intimating that the 4.0F -> 5.0a
upgrade path may have slipped thru QC a little
early. One response indicated that Compaq (I
am guessing frontline support) had said "if
you dont have C2, then you're ok" and then was
able to lookup the error messages they saw
during the upgrade but could not say what
caused or how to prevent the flame out(!).
