Hello...

My original query was other than using performance manager, is there an
easier way to monitor server/server room temperature, and have email sent
to me if greater then a specific degree.

I received many answers, most of them telling me to use the
/sbin/sysconfig -q envmon program, grep'ing out the env_current_temp
line and checking against its value. That's the path I'll take.

The use of a program called 'qpage' was suggested, which could generate
pages based on specific conditions.

  Thanks to :

Stan Horwitz
Kenneth Sheffield
Dennis Breeden
Steven Dodd
apologies to other's I've missed...
