Hi Gurus,
Thanks to Anthony A. D. Talltree, Peter Stern, sysadmin_at_astro
and Magali Bernard for their kind attention. The problem was in
fact in ghostscript and was solved by adding the following link
/usr/local/lib/ghostscript ->
/directory_where_ghostview_is_in_the_other_machine/ghostview
so that /fonts were accessible. Other directories were already at
hand.
