Sorry for the late summary, but I have been travelling for work a bit.
Basically got a lot of great suggestions and I appreciate everyones input
with this difficult issue. Thanks to John Farmer, Lawrie Smith, Phil
Baldwin, and of course the esteemed Dr. Thomas Blinn.
The "solution"/workaround was to not insert the compression flag.
When examining the core file I noticed the following:
>Displays the filesets not backed up in the past week.
