Hello,

I'm a new administrator of a Tru64 unix system in Alpha server. I am having problems to add a new volume in a existent Advfs domain.
I have a scsi disk with many partitons (a, b,c, d,e f, g, h) and I would like to add the partition g in my domain usr_domain.
My domain (usr_domain) is organized of this maner:

usr_domain
|
|------ usr (fileset)
| ------------ var (fileset)
| ------- /dev/disk/dsk0g

The disk that I would like to add the partition g to the usr_domain is organized of this maner:

                        Size(Kb) Offset Device FsType
/dev/disk/dsk3 3556 6000 --------- BD036635C5 ----------
 /dev/disk/dsk3a 65536 0 ---------- overlapped
 /dev/disk/dsk3b 131072 65536 ---------- overlapped
 /dev/disk/dsk3c 35566000 0 -------- AdvFS
 /dev/disk/dsk3d 0 0 ------- unknow
 /dev/disk/dsk3e 0 0 -------- unknow
 /dev/disk/dsk3f 0 0 -------- unknow
 /dev/disk/dsk3g 17684696 196608 -------- overlapped
 /dev/disk/dsk3h 17684696 17881304 -------- overlapped

Using the sofware "Advanced File System Manager" (Sysman Station -> Storage Management ->Advanced File System) I try add the partition dsk3g to usr_domain but I get the error message:

"Error: Partiton(s) that overlap /dev/disk/dsk3g are marked in use
addvol: can't add volume /dev/dsk/dsk3g to domain usr_domain"

Please, how can I correct this error and add the dsk3g?
Thanks so much for the help!
