DTC and C++ files on ftp.compaq.com corrupt

Dear all,

it appears that the files on ftp.compaq.com are corrupt, extracting
them returns errors like:

Compaq_C_Compiler/kit/OTABASE217
gtar: Unknown file type '8' for Compaq_C_Compiler/kit/OTABASE217, extracted as normal file

and running setld on them produces:

emily# setld -l .
/var/tmp/stltmp21319/OTABASE217.scp: P^A^L,DEC_ACL_ACCDIR^A,^E^D^Dÿÿÿÿ^X^DM^A: not found

which doesn't bode well. These come from:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com:21/pub/products/c-cxx/tru64/cxx/

and

ftp://ftp.compaq.com:21/pub/products/c-cxx/tru64/dtk/dtk51a/
