Thanks to Dr. Thomas Blinn, John Farmer, Joe Fletcher, and Aaron Sierbet.
I managed to boot from the cd and create the links to the domains. From this
I then ran verify against the domains. This told me that I was having lots
of errors including link count errors on the usr_domain and var_domain. From
this I have deduced that the easiest way to go ahead is to blow these away
and recreate them using the backups that I have.
Thanks again to those who replied.
Steve

Managers,
I am having a bit of a problem booting up a production ES40 server using
v4.0f. I am using advfs and lsm and get the error message on screen
bad v1 frag free list
after trying to start LSM and then mount the filesystems, it then just dumps
and returns to the P00 prompt.
I have tried booting into single user mode and running bcheckrc but the same
thing happens - starts LSM, mount the filesystems and then immediately falls
over.
Do any of you have any ideas what this means?
Thanks in advance
Steve Copper
