UNIX standarization process?

        Hi managers!

        I'm preparing a basic course on Unix, and I don't really know how's the
process of Unix standarization nowadays, does OSF still exist?, is there
a System V or BSD industry standard?, what about Unix International?,
and POSIX?.
        Wich rules are followed by the main manufacturers?
        Please, any of you could give me a brief explanation of the state of
the art of this topic?
