Hi,

  my original question:

------------------
Is it possible to mount an AdvFS fileset on a domain over a single hard
disk that has been untouched over a re-installing of the operating
system of the computer it is connected to?
The computer is an AS4100 with digital unix 4.0d. I re-installed this
same operating system and of course I lost the AdvFS domains so I can't
mount it as usual.
-------------------

  The solution:

This is possible using advscan -r <dev> (man advscan). This should
re-create the
directories and links on /etc/fdmn, which can also be create by hand if
you
remember the name of the hard disk (rz??, dsk??, re??, etc)
