Hi,
Currently when we work on files under Unix directories using a Windows NT clone called Advanced Server for Unix (ASU). Though we assign all permissions using ASU, the files created under Unix are by default assigned "rw-" for owner and "r--" for the ASU group "DOS-a--". This is a problem as any user falling under ASU should be able to delete files created by another user if the ASU permissions are assigned.
This however is not possible as the files created only have read permissions for the group. How do I get this changed so that any files created using ASU under Unix is assigned "rw-" or read and write to the Unix group. I am aware that this is related to the Unix UMASK command but am unaware as to how it is set up on Tru64 (our version 5.1). Would appreciate an expert guidance. Thanks.
